As Honorary Chair of this year’s Library Card Sign-up Month, DC’s Wonder Woman is starring in new artwork to champion the value of a library card. The free artwork includes a suite of digital graphics and customizable library cards.

The artwork can be downloaded through the Library Card Sign-up Month Toolkit (an account is required but registration is free and anyone can join). In addition, media tools such as a template press release and sample social media posts are available to help remind the public about all the resources and services you can access with a library card.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time to bring attention to the supportive role libraries and librarians play in transforming lives and communities through education. A founding member of the Justice League, Wonder Woman is known for truth, strength and compassion. Armed with the Lasso of Truth, Wonder Woman makes a perfect ambassador to support the value of learning.

Wonder Woman postersstickers and bookmarks are currently available for purchase through the ALA Store at alastore.ala.org.

Fans can learn more about Wonder Woman at DCcomics.com. Since her introduction in October 1941 in All-Star Comics #8, Wonder Woman has graced comics, video games, headlined her own television show and feature films, and appears in the hit animated series “DC Super Hero Girls” on Cartoon Network and Netflix.

Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries unite together in a national effort to ensure every child signs up for their own library card.
